Preparing for Parenting Workshop

Are you a first time expectant parent?  Are you wondering what to do once labour & delivery are over? Excited and terrified all at the same time about your new role as parent and what to do when finally face-to-face with your brand new bundle?

The “Preparing for Parenting” workshop series picks up where pre-natal classes leave off by providing practical, hands-on information about caring for your newborn and adjusting to your new identity as a parent.

Designed to address the most common questions and concerns of first time expectant parents, this 8 hour workshop series covers a range of topics including:

  • Caring for Your Newborn 101, or The 3 Pillars of Your New Baby’s Existance: Sleeping, Eating, Crying

Why is my baby crying? Can my baby really be hungry again? How do I get my baby to sleep?

  • Baby Gear: The Essentials

Am I ready? Do I really need all this stuff? How do you work this thing, anyway?

  • Bonding with Baby: Understanding the Essentials of Attachment Parenting

What is this “attachment parenting” stuff? How does this benefit my baby? How do I make this work for our lifestyle?

  • Navigating Your New Identity

What kind of parent do I want to be? How do my partner and I go from being a couple to parents and back again? What is parenting self-care?

And much more.
